Ingvar is the founder and Chief Executive of VitroLabs, a startup bringing to market a true replacement for quality leather. By harnessing nature and science, they’ve developed a process to grow real leather from cells that is better for business, people, animals, and the environment.
His interest in design led to his first venture, Ostwald Helgason, a fashion brand that he co-founded in 2006. He went on to co-found Woah, a cloud platform for apparel companies, helping brands and manufacturers speed up processes, reduce waste and improve profitability. In 2016, he co-founded VitroLabs to focus on the intersection of biotechnology, engineering, and sustainability.
