About this speaker
Dr. Johnson received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering with a focus on biomaterials in 2010 from The Ohio State University. He co-founded and currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Nanofiber Solutions and Matrix Meats based upon state-of-the-art nanofiber scaffolds for cell culture and tissue engineering applications as an extension of his thesis work. Dr. Johnson led the team that won 1st Place in the 2009 Deloitte Business Plan Competition and has served as principal investigator on numerous NIH and NSF SBIR/STTR grants in addition to Ohio Third Frontier grants. Dr. Johnson has over 50 issued and pending patents and has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications.
